Thanks to its location opposite to Maiella, in the beautiful natural scenery of Frentane hills, the new winery represents the strong bond with the territory that characterizes both Spinelli Wineries and their production. The winery is designed for a high level of production and storage and its structure includes both in u.g. and a.g areas.
The system of wine production is a gravity one and the delivery area is placed at a higher level compared both to the fermentation area and to the production building.

The barrel room is totally underground in order to have the highest energy-saving and a reduced environmental impact. Between the barrel room and the inox-steel wine-fermentation room there is a totally a.g. commercial and management area, above which a wine tasting room overlooking  the barrel room and  wine vat area, is located.  The complex consists of the following structurally independent blocks:

  • Grapes delivery area is a r.c structure (retaining walls, pillars and slabs with lightening elements) and has a steel roof covering.
  • The inox-finishing building has a steel roof-structure connected to the top of the r.c. retaining wall on the upstream side and to an r.c wall on the downstream side.
  • The building intended for barrel-room and offices is a totally r.c structure with retaining walls, pillars and slabs.
  • The building intended for bottling rooms and warehouse is a totally steel structure (parallel-row trusses and hollow columns).
